Click on the link to see a  cartoon (4801811_01_UPE-Broadsides_CaseForUPE_1976 ) by Billy Morrow Jackson, internationally known artist, professor in art, strong supporter of the University of Illinois, and faculty union member. Note the issues: tenure, inflation and pensions.

Jackson was a member of the Union of Professional Employees, forerunner of the Campus Faculty Association. He made the drawing for a UPE educational pamphlet produced in 1976.  The drawing is in the public domain, courtesy the University of Illinois Archives.
