I support the effort to build a faculty union because I am acutely aware that our collective voice is rapidly eroding. As the corporate structure becomes the norm at colleges and universities across the country, faculty unions must also become the norm in order to re-establish and maintain an institutional voice not only for faculty themselves, but for students and for higher education in general.
