Sign up below to stay up to date on the work of the Campus Faculty Association (CFA), including information about campus events, calls to action, and organizing updates from our campus and campuses all across the academy!
CFA’s ability to affect change is directly proportional to its number of card-signed members. We cannot bargain collectively for faculty interests until we can show we represent a majority of the UIUC faculty. CFA membership is open to all tenure-track faculty. To become a member please download and fill out the membership card below, and return it to CFA’s office at the University YMCA.
Cards can be dropped off by-hand or mailed to:

Dues: Unions are member-supported, dues-supported organizations. As a union, CFA will determine it’s dues levels democratically. Members will set dues in light of our union’s priorities, including organizing, training, and professional development.
CFA will not collect dues from it’s members until after we have secured union recognition and won our first contract.
Dues may be a percentage of salary or a flat rate. In faculty unions, they are most often set as a percent of gross salary, usually around 1.0-1.5%. This money is deducted from members’ salaries each month by the employer’s payroll office.
Note to non-tenure-track faculty: The union that represents most non-tenure-track faculty for collective bargaining purposes is the legally separate organization called NTFC Local 6546.
