Professor Emeritus Gary Adelman passed away just before the New Year. Gary was a president of the Union of Professional Employees (UPE), CFAs previous name. A colleague of Gary’s in the union days, Ronald Peters, paid tribute to him by saying he “exhibited tremendous zeal for faculty rights, and had an inborn sense for correcting injustices. He could come up with creative ideas for engaging the administration.”
