Anyone who questions that we still have a lot of work to do with regard to racism on our campus might take a look at the postings from some of our own students referenced in the News-Gazette, which included racist and misogynist attacks on Chancellor Wise. CFA is appalled at the language and sentiments expressed by some students on social media in response to Wise’s announcement that classes would be held today. Chancellor Wise did nothing to deserve this. Respect and civility are key to maintaining our campus community, and racist and sexist attacks on any one of us demean all of us.
