Shared Governance at University of Wisconsin Under Attack

A story appeared in Inside Higher Education about our neighbor to the north, Wisconsin, where shared governance is under attack by state legislators. At a panel was assembled to discuss shared governance, Assembly Speaker Robin Vos, a Republican, said governance changes were a matter of “when, not if,” and that university chancellors should be empowered to “truly be the chief executive officers.”
