I’m a member of the Campus Faculty Association and support its call for a union because I trust its officials and its politics. The CFA shares my values regarding access, governance, our obligations as a public land grant institution, and more. I suspect that a faculty union will result in a stronger, healthier campus climate and allow the university to better fulfill its mission; I’d certainly like to see that proposition tested.
