We are facing critical decisions in higher public education, and they call for the combined effort of all of us. We simply can’t afford to let our future rest in the hands of administrators. The challenges we face require our conjoined talents, our mutual engagement in open and democratic discussion, and our collective will to protect this amazing public trust. A faculty union permits all of us to participate responsibly in defining our future.
